We were so fortunate to finally meet Anne, our new cousin-in-law and friend. She has been in America for less than a week. We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant in Oviedo and got Bruester's ice cream to make us extra full. After dinner they brought us our fortune cookies, and because that is strictly an American tradition, we explained what fortune cookies were to Anne. It was hard to explain why we only eat them with Chinese food, especially because they don't have them in China at all. She said the food was good, but it wasn't real Chinese food. We all loved the ice cream, and I discovered my new favorite flavor: Graham Central Station! YUM!
Anne is such a beautiful person on the inside and out. I am already looking forward to more fun times with both of them.
