Dear Henry fans, this post does not involve Henry. I found 30 minutes during nap time to make laundry detergent. It was fun and made my house smell delicious. I doubled the recipe that I found and made lots to last until the next time I can make it without Henry awake.
1 bar Fels Naptha soap
1 cup washing soda
1 cup borax
SIMPLE! Here are my step by step directions.
Grate the Fels Naptha bars
Pour the grated soap into a container. I had to change the blade on my food processor.
Put the grated soap in the food processor to make small pieces.
It looked like cheese. It smelled fabulous!
Add washing soda and borax and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE
Laundry detergent that costs me about 4 cents a load and is environmentally more friendly than Tide (or other store-bought brands). Yay for me!
