Brandon and I traveled up to Western North Carolina with Brian and Sheree to see Brandon's mom and dad in Waynesville. We left Thursday night about 9:15pm and got to their house at 6:45am on Friday. That is absolutely the last time we ever drive through the night. Brandon didn't sleep a wink. Future trips will involve an overnight stay. Because we were exhausted, Friday was just a hanging out day. We had lunch with Billy and his new girlfriend, Kayla, at Smacker's, a sports bar/grill where they both work. Saturday we spent the day out on Lake Fontana and stayed the night on a houseboat. A day on the water with the beautiful mountains was very refreshing. Mine and Brandon's night staring up at billions of stars for hours was priceless. Sunday we did some antique shopping and hanging out together. We had breakfast Monday morning at Waynesville Country Club before getting on the road to head back to Florida. The whole trip was wonderful and full of time to relax and enjoy each others' company. Fireflies in the evenings, mountain views, and the company of family were all such treasures. Brandon's mom gifted me a blanket made by Henry's great, great, great(yes 3) grandmother. It is gorgeous! . Enjoy the pictures of our trip!
